At the first moment you sense a headache or migraine approaching, using this blend will help cage the pain until the worst of it is gone.
I have suffered from migraines since I was three years old. I developed this particular blend to help ease the pain I feel when one is coming on. The results have been surprising and quite welcome. Rubbing this blend on my temples in the initial stage of a migraine often reduces the duration and severity of the pain. The essential oils used in this blend are not just for migraine but may also be used for all types of headache pain, including tension, cluster, and sinus headaches.
Directions: Put 2-3 drops in a diffuser when you feel a migraine coming on.
100% Natural Ingredients: Pure essential oils of peppermint, marjoram, lemon, rosemary, and eucalyptus.
× In Greek and Roman times, the marjoram plant was seen as a symbol of happiness, so it is no surprise that another use for marjoram is for nervous disorders and anxiety.
× Peppermint essential oil contains large amounts of menthol, so it has traditionally been used in the treatment of headache, migraine, and fevers. Because of its cooling effect, it’s also good to use for skin conditions. Inhaling peppermint oil may also help clear congestion in a stuffed-up nose.
“The headache is always there, waiting, and her periods of freedom, however long, always feel provisional. Sometimes the headache simply takes partial possession for an evening or a day or two, then withdraws. Sometimes it remains and increases until she herself subsides. At those times the headache moves out of her skull and into the world.”
—Michael Cunningham, describing Virginia Woolf’s headaches in The Hours
“When the head hurts, all the members suffer.” —Spanish proverb
“Migraine is disabling. The World Health Organization places migraine as one of the 20 most disabling medical illnesses on the planet.” —American Migraine Foundation
